Gianno · Handcrafted Loudspeakers

Our Story

Gianno was born from a passion for music, design and objects built to last. The name pays tribute to the family’s Italian roots and represents a way of understanding work in which dedication, patience and attention to detail still matter.

Photography and design

A life between image, design and sound

My professional training began in photography. I studied at the New York Institute of Photography, and since 1999 I have been producing work for publishers, catalogues and projects related to design and architecture.

Throughout those years I had the privilege of observing up close the work of architects, designers, craftsmen and creators. That experience shaped the way I see proportions, materials, build quality and the importance of details.

Over time I discovered that the same principles that distinguish a great object are also present in a great audio system.

The countryside in Luján

Luján and the silence of the countryside

More than twenty years ago I chose to live in the countryside, on the outskirts of Luján. I was looking for a life closer to nature, to the trees, to the sounds of my surroundings and to a more human pace than that of the city.

Over time I understood that this environment also deeply influenced the way I listen to music and design loudspeakers.

Silence, observation and respect for the natural pace of things are part of the philosophy with which I approach every project.

“To build loudspeakers capable of accompanying their owners for many years, both for their sound quality and for their build quality.”

Handcrafted construction

More than twenty years in search of sound

My relationship with audio began like that of many enthusiasts: listening to music and wondering how to get ever closer to it.

The first loudspeakers were built in a self-taught way, with simple tools, a great deal of curiosity and an enormous will to learn.

Over the years came new materials, better processes, professional acoustic measurement equipment and hundreds of hours devoted to study, experimentation and critical listening. Each design represents one more stage in a search that continues to this day.

Craftsmanship and engineering

Every Gianno loudspeaker is built individually. The choice of materials, the acoustic design, the measurements, the construction of the cabinets and the finishes are all part of a process in which quality takes priority over speed.

Technology and measurements are essential tools, but they never replace attentive listening or the experience accumulated over years of work.

That is why each system combines technical precision, aesthetic sensitivity and handcrafted construction.

Our philosophy

◈

We believe music deserves to be listened to with respect.

◈

We believe craftsmanship still has value.

◈

We believe quality takes time.

◈

We believe in noble materials and timeless design.

◈

We believe the best objects are those that stay with us for years.

◈

A great loudspeaker is not simply a piece of audio equipment. It is a connection between music, the space we live in and the emotions that stay with us throughout our lives.
